The Bavarian Lion stands for the world´s best “Plattler”. Every year a different federation organizes the world championship. Of course, the best “Plattler” of the federation of North America will be a part of it as well. The idea was to bring the championship from Bavaria to North America. Unfortunately, because of organizational and logistical reasons, this was not possible. The federation “Wageggler” from Haldenwang then offered the Americans to join them at the Gautrachtenfest from the 31.05. until 03.06.2018, so they can host the Bavarian Lion in Haldenwang. Of course, the offer was gladly accepted. The federation “Wageggler” and the community Haldenwang are very pleased to welcome the Gau North America 2018!
